Defensive Behavior
Piscine Sneaking
The stealth behaviour of prey fish crossing predator zones - slow movement, edge-hugging, and rapid darting between cover.
Trigger: Predator Function: Passing through predator zones undetected
📖 Overview
Small fish crossing open water hug cover, freeze at movement, and dart rapidly. Reef fish minimise time in open water when moving between coral heads. Stream fish orient behind rocks and slip between them one at a time. Sneaking is the survival strategy of prey that cannot outrun predators.
