Trunov parketnik (Muraenolepis trunovi) is a ray-finned fish of the family Muraenolepididae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in deep-water environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 24.3 cm. It occurs at depths between 730 and 860 metres. With a trophic level of 3.4, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms.

Dorsal soft rays (total): 139; Anal soft rays: 102; Vertebrae: 73. Diagnosis: Differs from its congeners in having an elongated first dorsal fin, 16.9% SL (vs. 5.2-10.3% SL and the pectoral fin 17.7% in SL (vs. less than 13.5% SL); D2 137 and A 102 fin-rays; numerous vertebrae 73 .: elongated.
