📖 Overview

The Everglades is a river you cant see - 100 km wide, 10 cm deep, flowing 1 meter per hour. Sawgrass prairies, cypress swamps, mangrove estuaries, and hardwood hammocks. Historically hosted iconic Florida sportfishing - snook, tarpon, largemouth bass, redfish. Today it faces invasive Burmese pythons (which have eaten most native mammals), Asian swamp eels, and drought from Miamis water demand.
