📖 Overview
Rimmed-scaled goby (Priolepis limbatosquamis), first described by Gosline, 1959 is a tiny fish in the family Gobiidae (order Gobiiformes). Adults typically reach 2.20 cm in maximum length. It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. Recorded depth range: 3 to 26 metres. It occurs in Tropical waters. It is broadly omnivorous, taking invertebrates, plant matter, and detritus. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Least Concern.The species is kept in the aquarium hobby. Care requirements and behaviour align broadly with other Gobiidae kept in the hobby.

🐟 Physical Description
Dorsal spines (total): 7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9; Anal spines: 1; Anal soft rays: 8. This species differs in having the following characters: prominent, dark-edged, pupil-diameter light band, starting under the pectoral-fin base and continuing across the nape; low ray counts, dorsal-fin with 9 and anal-fin with 8; posterior nasal opening 2-3 times the diameter of the anterior opening; reduced number of sensory papillae in the paired longitudinal nasal-interorbital row, 3 or 4 per row (vs. 5-7 per row) .: fusiform / normal.
