Photonectes Litvinovi (Photonectes litvinovi), first described by Prokofiev, 2014 is a medium-sized fish in the family Stomiidae (order Stomiiformes). Adults typically reach 15.00 cm in maximum length. It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. It occurs in Deep-water waters. It feeds on a mix of small fish and invertebrates as a mid-level predator. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Data Deficient.

🐟 Physical Description
Dorsal soft rays (total): 15; Anal soft rays: 18. This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: D 15, A 18, V 7; short chin barbel (less than half the head length); no luminous organs inside the mouth on the lower jaw; with 35 photophores of series IV; mixed-size teeth in jaws; snout extremely short .Cross section: compressed.
