📖 Overview
Queen Angelfish (Holacanthus ciliaris), first described by (Linnaeus, 1758) is a large fish in the family Pomacanthidae (order Acanthuriformes). Adults typically reach 45.00 cm in maximum length and up to 1.600 kg. It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. Recorded depth range: 1 to 70 metres. It occurs in Subtropical waters. It is broadly omnivorous, taking invertebrates, plant matter, and detritus. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Least Concern.The species is kept in the aquarium hobby. Care requirements and behaviour align broadly with other Pomacanthidae kept in the hobby.
