Clarion angelfish (Holacanthus clarionensis), first described by Gilbert, 1890 is a medium-sized fish in the family Pomacanthidae (order Acanthuriformes). Adults typically reach 20.00 cm in maximum length. It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. It occurs in Tropical waters. It is broadly omnivorous, taking invertebrates, plant matter, and detritus. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Vulnerable.The species is important as a food fish. As a member of the Pomacanthidae, it shares life-history and morphological traits with its relatives in the group.

Marine; reef-associated; non-migratory. Tropical; 24°N - 10°N Central Pacific: southern tip of Baja California, Mexico; also from Clarion, and the Revillagigedo Group off the western coast of Mexico and from Clipperton Island.
