Splendid threadfin (Filimanus perplexa) is a ray-finned fish of the family Polynemidae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in benthic environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 16 cm. With a trophic level of 3.6, it is a mid-level predator.
Dorsal soft rays (total): 11; Anal soft rays: 13 - 15. Distinguished by having a body depth of 3.2 or less in SL; seven pectoral filaments, some extending well past midpoint of anal fin; interorbital region of frontals concave.
