Dentex Fourmanoiri (Dentex fourmanoiri) is a ray-finned fish of the family Sparidae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in deep-water environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 21.5 cm. It occurs at depths between 210 and 290 metres. With a trophic level of 3.6, it is a mid-level predator. Dorsal spines (total): 13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 8. Acute snout 70-80°. Eye diameter 2.4-3.35 times in HL. Distal margins of dorsal and caudal fins bright yellow. Snout and suborbital region naked; cheeks, opercle scaly; preopercle scaly except at its posterior margin. Mouth low, slightly oblique. Scales on transverse series 5-6 + 12-15 .: short and / or deep; Cross section: compressed.
