🐟 Physical Description

Distinguished from congeners by having the following unique characters: 24-28 gill rakers; snout blunt; and back arched. Additional characters useful for identification, but not unique, include 10-12 scale rows between dorsal fin origin and lateral line, and 8-9 between anal fin origin and lateral line .: fusiform / normal.
