The Dutch aquarium is a botanical garden underwater. Dating to 1930s Netherlands, it emphasises 8-15+ plant species arranged in clear groups ("streets") that lead the eye through the composition. Rules are strict: contrasting leaf colours side by side, dutch streets running diagonally, focal points from the golden ratio. It is not a nature aquarium - it is unabashedly artificial in the best sense.
