Slanted pygmygoby (Trimma erwani) is a ray-finned fish of the family Gobiidae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in reef-associated environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 1.4 cm. It occurs at depths between 20 and 30 metres. It is assessed as Data Deficient on the IUCN Red List.

🐟 Physical Description

Dorsal spines (total): 7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8; Anal spines: 1; Anal soft rays: 8. This species is distinguished by the following characters: diagonally slanting grey and yellow bars on body; nape scaled with about 5-6 predorsal scales; pectoral fin with 16-17 unbranched rays; unbranched fifth pelvic-fin ray, about half length of fourth ray; interorbital region with a U-shaped trench and no postorbital trenches .: fusiform / normal; Cross section: oval.
