Kiyo's dragonet (Synchiropus kiyoae) is a ray-finned fish of the family Callionymidae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in benthic environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 2 cm. It occurs at depths between 5 and 14 metres. With a trophic level of 3.1, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.
Dorsal spines (total): 4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 8. Body moderately depressed. Preopercular spine long, without antrorse process at base and with 5 to 6 processes on inner side; posterior tip strongly upcurved. Lateral line on body conspicuously curved upward above the pectoral fin. Attains 2 cm SL.: fusiform / normal; Cross section: circular.
