Scopelarchus Stephensi (Scopelarchus stephensi) is a ray-finned fish of the family Scopelarchidae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in deep-water environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 6.2 cm. It occurs at depths between 0 and 1000 metres. With a trophic level of 3.8, it is a mid-level predator. 🐟 Physical Description

Dorsal soft rays (total): 8; Anal soft rays: 20 - 22; Vertebrae: 42 - 43. Pigment on pectoral fin limited to a narrow patch of melanophores between 2nd and 6th or 7th pectoral rays on medial third of length of fin; appressed pectoral reaching to pelvic insertion but not to anus; caudal fin depth 7.9-9.2 SL .
