Rita Bakalu (Rita bakalu) is a ray-finned fish of the family Ritidae. It inhabits freshwater waters in benthic environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 11.1 cm. With a trophic level of 3.3, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Data Deficient on the IUCN Red List.

The eye diameter is 28-39% of the head length, and the caudal fin has 20-22 rays. The teeth in the upper jaw are uniformly villiform, arranged in two patches separated at the midline. The palatal teeth are well-developed villiform, and organized into two distinct patches situated along the edges of the palate.
