Occurs in vegetated areas near the rocks and stones in the littoral region of the lake; area of collection was strewn with harbour debris, and was heavily vegetated with macrophytes and algae-covered rocks; collected at 2-6m depth . Inhabits shallow sediment-rich habitats . Feeds on algae which is picked from the rocks .
