🐟 Physical Description

Dorsal spines (total): 1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6 - 7; Anal soft rays: 13 - 17. Posterior nostril barbels reaching rear edge of eyes, maxillary one nearly reaching pectoral fin, posterior barbels on chin reaching branchial membrane and anterior one short; gill opening large and branchial membrane free; skin naked. Last simple ray of pectoral fin hard and strongly serrated on hind margin; ventral fin nearly reaching anal fin and end of caudal fin lightly concave or truncate.: elongated; Cross section: compressed.
