Tachysurus Nudiceps (Tachysurus nudiceps), first described by Sauvage, 1883 is a medium-sized fish in the family Bagridae (order Siluriformes). Adults typically reach 15.00 cm in maximum length. It inhabits freshwater systems including rivers, streams, and lakes. It occurs in Temperate waters. It feeds on a mix of small fish and invertebrates as a mid-level predator.

Dorsal spines (total): 1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 5 - 7; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 18 - 20. Body elongated, anteriorly depressed, posteriorly compressed. Four pairs of mouth barbels present. No scales on body. Pectoral and dorsal fins enlarged and spinous. Posterior margin of caudal fin deeply notched.: elongated; Cross section: circular.
