📖 Overview
Largemouth striped threadfin (Polydactylus siamensis), first described by Motomura, Iwatsuki & Yoshino, 2001 is a medium-sized fish in the family Polynemidae (order Perciformes). Adults typically reach 27.40 cm in maximum length. It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. It occurs in Tropical waters. It feeds on a mix of small fish and invertebrates as a mid-level predator.

🐟 Physical Description
Body with 7 or 8 prominent dark stripes along the scale rows above the lateral line; 7 - 9 faint stripes below (may be lost after preservation). Five pectoral filaments, moderately long, 31-43% of SL with 5th longest. Large upper jaw (mean 17% of SL) . Lateral line squamation unbranched, extending to upper end of lower caudal fin lobe. Lower tip of 7th proximal pterygiophore of 1st dorsal fin directed backward .: fusiform / normal.

Marine; demersal. Tropical; 18°N - 6°N, 92°E - 102°E known only from Bangkok, Songkhla and Phuket, Thailand.
