📖 Overview
Bluespotted boxfish (Ostracion immaculatum) is a ray-finned fish of the family Ostraciidae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in benthic environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 25 cm. With a trophic level of 3.2, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

🐟 Physical Description
Juveniles are bright yellow, with small black dots and pale blue dots. The black dots disappear as the fish grows, the pale blue dots enlarge. Adults are yellow and blue, having pale blue spots on each plate.
