Mouth width 2.2-2.3 times in head width; no barbels; caudal peduncle about 2.4-2.8 times longer than deep ; last simple dorsal ray slender and smooth in individuals less than about 9 cm SL, smooth to finely serrated posteriorly in larger individuals .
