Taiwan ku fish (Onychostoma alticorpus) is a ray-finned fish of the family Cyprinidae. It inhabits freshwater waters. This species can reach a maximum total length of 50 cm. It occurs at depths between 0 and 10 metres. With a trophic level of 2.6, it is an omnivore, consuming both plant and animal matter. It is assessed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List.
Head short and top of head convex; snout short and conical; eyes small and interorbital space wide. Dorsal fin without spine, origin of it nearer to tip of snout and opposite ahead of origin of ventral fin; base of anal fin short and its outer margin truncated.: short and / or deep; Cross section: compressed.
