📖 Overview
Nomorhamphus Rossi (Nomorhamphus rossi), first described by Meisner, 2001 is a tiny fish in the family Zenarchopteridae (order Beloniformes). Adults typically reach 4.70 cm in maximum length. It inhabits freshwater systems including rivers, streams, and lakes. It occurs in Tropical waters. It is broadly omnivorous, taking invertebrates, plant matter, and detritus. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Endangered.

🐟 Physical Description
Dorsal soft rays (total): 10 - 12; Anal soft rays: 14 - 17; Vertebrae: 39 - 41. This species is distinguished by the following characters: the second anal-fin ray in males in which segment five is greatly elongate, comprising one half of the ray; spiculus is thick, unsegmented distally; it is offset dorsally at about one fourth its length, with distal tip pointed ventrally .
