Narcetes Kamoharai (Narcetes kamoharai), first described by Okamura, 1984 is a medium-sized fish in the family Alepocephalidae (order Alepocephaliformes). Adults typically reach 34.00 cm in maximum length. It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. Recorded depth range: 892 to 1000 metres. It occurs in Subtropical waters. It feeds on a mix of small fish and invertebrates as a mid-level predator.

Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 18 - 20; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 15 - 17. Teeth in 2 or 3 irregular series or in bands on premaxillary and dentary. Origin of anal fin more posterior than anterior 1/3 of body fin base (usually below the 12 to 15th dorsal rays). Body rather high and compressed. Branchiostegal rays 8. Attains 34 cm SL.: elongated; Cross section: compressed.
