Emblem goby (Microgobius emblematicus), first described by Jordan & Gilbert, 1882 is a small fish in the family Gobiidae (order Gobiiformes). Adults typically reach 10.00 cm in maximum length. It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. Recorded depth range: 0 to 36 metres. It occurs in Tropical waters. It feeds on a mix of small fish and invertebrates as a mid-level predator. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Least Concern.The species is kept in the aquarium hobby. Care requirements and behaviour align broadly with other Gobiidae kept in the hobby.

Distinguished by the following characteristics: general body color is light grey-brown, typically have areas of very bright iridescent blue and/or yellow; body is laterally compressed; large, nearly vertical mouth; completely scaled body; first dorsal with VII spines; ventral fins are united .: elongated.
