Labeobarbus Batesii (Labeobarbus batesii) is a ray-finned fish of the family Cyprinidae. It inhabits freshwater waters. This species can reach a maximum total length of 43.5 cm. With a trophic level of 3.2, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Scale formula 4.5/26-30/4.5 or 4.5-5.5/26-33/3.5-4.5/2-3 . 2-3 or 3 scales between lateral line and pelvic-fin base. 12 scales around caudal peduncle . 8-9 or 8-10 dorsal fin branched rays. Last simple dorsal ray ossified and as long as or shorter than head in specimens over 150 mm SL or measuring 0.67x HL . : fusiform / normal.
