Moppet eelpout (Krusensterniella infans) is a ray-finned fish of the family Zoarcidae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in benthic, deep-water environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 8.3 cm. With a trophic level of 3.1, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms.

This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following characters: total vertebrae 124 (precaudal 26), D 121 (67 X 44, all spiny rays 77); pungent spines of dorsal fin are associated with vertebrae 70-80; preoperculomandibular pores 6; developed scales only on the caudal part of the body .Cross section: compressed.
