📖 Overview
Speckled Stargazer (Kathetostoma canaster), first described by Gomon & Last, 1987 is a large fish in the family Uranoscopidae (order Perciformes). Adults typically reach 65.00 cm in maximum length. It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. Recorded depth range: 30 to 700 metres. It occurs in Deep-water waters. Diet is predominantly piscivorous, targeting other fish and larger prey.
