Gavialiceps Arabicus (Gavialiceps arabicus) is a ray-finned fish of the family Muraenesocidae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in deep-water environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 84 cm. It occurs at depths between 380 and 497 metres. With a trophic level of 3.8, it is a mid-level predator. It is assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.
Dorsal soft rays (total): 40; Anal soft rays: 283; Vertebrae: 220 - 231. Color is dark brown, head is black, gill chamber dark but does not show through the skin. The peritoneum is pigmented, the stomach is bright and long, but does not reach above the anus, its length is 1.2-1.9 times the length of the head .: eel-like.
