Gadella Obscurus (Gadella obscurus) is a ray-finned fish of the family Moridae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in deep-water environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 20.8 cm. It occurs at depths between 175 and 240 metres. With a trophic level of 3.2, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms.
Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 74 - 78; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 71 - 75; Vertebrae: 56 - 57. No chin barbel; very small round light organ on abdomen in front of the center of the distance between the end of the base of the pelvic fins and the anus; pyloric caeca 9-12; body cavity extending to level of 13-14th ray of the anal fin. Caudal fin rounded.: elongated.
