📖 Overview
Multi-thread dragonfish (Eustomias multifilis), first described by skaya, 1978 is a small fish in the family Stomiidae (order Stomiiformes). Adults typically reach 14.50 cm in maximum length. It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. Recorded depth range: 0 to 1000 metres. It occurs in Temperate waters. Diet is predominantly piscivorous, targeting other fish and larger prey. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Data Deficient.

🐟 Physical Description
Dorsal soft rays (total): 23; Anal soft rays: 34. Two terminal bulbs separated by an interspace, 1.9 times the length of distal bulb. Barbel length short 45% SL. Filaments short, 16, arising not only from its sides and from the stem proximal to it. Many filaments branched, apparently all with prominent bulblets. Distal bulb ovoid in shape, less than 1.5 times as long as wide, 1.2 times proximal bulb length .: elongated.
