📖 Overview
Eustomias Magnificus (Eustomias magnificus), first described by Clarke, 2001 is a medium-sized fish in the family Stomiidae (order Stomiiformes). Adults typically reach 19.80 cm in maximum length. It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. Recorded depth range: 0 to 1800 metres. It occurs in Deep-water waters. Diet is predominantly piscivorous, targeting other fish and larger prey. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Data Deficient.

🐟 Physical Description
Barbel with a single-based branch arising from stem; 4-6 lateral branches arising from medial branch, proximal pair from just distal to origin of medial branch; all branches with rounded, club-shaped tips; stem pigmented up to terminal bulb; bulb elongate, occupying most of distal barbel with slight constriction and internal pigment distally; a medial row of 8-10 prominent terminal filaments around distal tip and 1-3 pairs of small, lateral terminal filaments near ventral side of constriction in bulb .: elongated.
