📖 Overview
Eustomias Acinosus (Eustomias acinosus), first described by Regan & Trewavas, 1930 is a medium-sized fish in the family Stomiidae (order Stomiiformes). Adults typically reach 18.50 cm in maximum length. It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. It occurs in Tropical waters. Diet is predominantly piscivorous, targeting other fish and larger prey. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Data Deficient.

Dorsal soft rays (total): 21 - 23; Anal soft rays: 35 - 37. Body elongate and slender. Snout protrusible. Long chin barbel, slender, terminal bulb preceded by long simple filament. Barbel stem has little or no pigment. Black in color .: elongated.
