📖 Overview
Linesnout goby (Elacatinus lori) is a ray-finned fish of the family Gobiidae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in reef-associated environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 4.6 cm. It occurs at depths between 0 and 24 metres. With a trophic level of 3.6, it is a mid-level predator. It is assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Characterized by having: terminal mouth position; thin white lateral stripe from eye to caudal peduncle and thin white bar on snout; naked and elongate body, laterally compressed; absence of rostral frenum; rounded tongue; dorsal fin without elongated anterior spines; caudal fin rounded; complete ventral fin cup .: fusiform / normal.
