Coptodon Cameronensis (Coptodon cameronensis) is a ray-finned fish of the family Cichlidae. It inhabits freshwater waters in benthic environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 32.1 cm. With a trophic level of 2.4, it is an omnivore, consuming both plant and animal matter. It is assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Diagnosis: 9 or fewer rakers on lower limb of first arch; soft dorsal, anal and caudal fins dominantly red-brown, scattered with light spots; head profile very bulging; mouth subterminal or inferior; chest scales very small; 8-12 gill rakers; dorsal fin usually with 28-30 total rays; external teeth very large, robust; length of caudal peduncle 8.2-10.4% of standard length .
