Bathysolea Polli (Bathysolea polli) is a ray-finned fish of the family Soleidae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in deep-water environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 25 cm. It occurs at depths between 380 and 420 metres. With a trophic level of 3.6, it is a mid-level predator. It is assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.
Dorsal soft rays (total): 72 - 82; Anal soft rays: 59 - 66; Vertebrae: 42 - 44. Body uniform dark brown in color on eyed-side; 2-3 dorsal pterygiophores articulating on dorsoposterior margin of anteriorly curved neural spine of second precaudal vertebra; urohyal with angle usually greater than 100°; length of posteriormost dorsal fin ray in caudal peduncle depth usually less than 1.5.: short and / or deep.
