📖 Overview

Adults inhabit sheltered, shallow reefs, hiding among live or dead coral branches . From estuaries to outer reef lagoons , 2-12 m deep. Solitary . Oviparous. Eggs are demersal and adhesive , and are attached to the substrate via a filamentous, adhesive pad or pedestal . Larvae are planktonic, often found in shallow, coastal waters .
