📖 Overview
Iwagumi ("rock formation") is the most disciplined aquascape style. Three, five, or seven stones - always an odd number - are arranged following the golden ratio, with one dominant "oyaishi" stone. Foreground plants (usually a low carpet like Monte Carlo or dwarf hairgrass) reinforce the stone as the composition's soul. No wood. No extraneous decor. The style demands high-tech CO2 injection and intense lighting for the carpet plants to thrive.
