Found under stones in the channel of a river during low tide . Largest mature individuals caught measure 21.5-31.5 cm TL . Viviparous, with variable number of eggs, 4-131 .
Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 89 - 106; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 73 - 89; Vertebrae: 102 - 108. Parietal bones are not connected with each other and are separated by the upper occipital bone throughout their length.: eel-like.
