Xenocypris Yunnanensis (Xenocypris yunnanensis) is a ray-finned fish of the family Cyprinidae. It inhabits freshwater waters. This species can reach a maximum total length of 23 cm. With a trophic level of 3.2, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List.

Belly rounded and with scutes from end of pelvic fin to anus; snout blunt; eyes located in lateral of head; mouth small and transverse, lower jaw with a well-developed horny anterior edge; upper jaw thick and slightly projected .: elongated.
