📖 Overview
Well-mixed water columns have consistent temperature, oxygen, and CO2 throughout. Reef tanks especially need aggressive mixing (20-40x turnover per hour) to prevent dead zones where waste accumulates. Poor mixing produces algae outbreaks, uneven fish distribution, and localised oxygen depletion.
