Triplophysa Crassicauda (Triplophysa crassicauda) is a ray-finned fish of the family Nemacheilidae. It inhabits freshwater waters in benthic environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 10.4 cm. With a trophic level of 3.1, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms.

Distinguished from its very similar species, Triplophya leptosoma, by having the following characters: very wide trunk (the maximum thickness significantly exceeds the maximum depth); comparatively deeper body, caudal peduncle and dorsal fin; more posterior position of the beginning of the dorsal fin; larger ventroanal distance (16.4% SL); anus, settles out of the beginning of the anal fin to more than the orbit diameter .: elongated.
