Dorsal spines (total): 0; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 51 - 54. Rather hump-backed, belly with 18 0r 19 + 7 or 8 = 25 to 27 keeled scutes from isthmus to anus. Lower gill rakers with serrae not distinctly clumped. Pectoral filament long, reaching to base of 27th to 41st anal fin ray.: elongated; Cross section: compressed.

Marine; brackish; pelagic-neritic. Tropical; 11°S - 18°S, 120°E - 127°E Indian Ocean: northern coast of Western Australia at Medusa Bank, Cambridge Gulf, but presumably elsewhere along that coast.
