Shorttailed snake moray (Scuticaria okinawae) is a ray-finned fish. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in benthic environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 90.5 cm. With a trophic level of 3.7, it is a mid-level predator. It is assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.
Vertebrae: 169 - 177. Color in alcohol uniform yellowish brown to chocolate brown. Easily identified by its very short tail (anus at 2/3 TL) and its uniform dark coloration . MVF 168-170-176.: eel-like.
