Sarotherodon Caudomarginatus (Sarotherodon caudomarginatus) is a ray-finned fish of the family Cichlidae. It inhabits freshwater waters in benthic environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 15.6 cm. With a trophic level of 2.3, it is an omnivore, consuming both plant and animal matter. It is assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Preorbital bone deep; toothed area of lower pharyngeal bone heart-shaped with slender, bevelled teeth with no minor cusp . Caudal fin strongly emarginated . Fold of skin above upper lip bright yellow in life; margins of dorsal, caudal and anal fins black . : short and / or deep.
