Broad striped rasbora (Rasbora dandia) is a ray-finned fish of the family Cyprinidae. It inhabits freshwater waters. This species can reach a maximum total length of 9.9 cm. With a trophic level of 3.2, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Vertebrae: 33. Rasbora dandia is distinguished from all congers from India and Sri Lanka by the combination of the following characters: axial stripe broader than one scale-height, prominent throughout; mouth terminal; symphysial knob not prominent; ½ 4/ 1/ 1 ½ scales on body in transverse line; 27-31 pored scales on lateral line on body; 13-14 predorsal scales; and caudal fin without any prominet markings .: fusiform / normal.
