Armitagei's striped rasbora (Rasbora armitagei) is a ray-finned fish of the family Cyprinidae. It inhabits freshwater waters. This species can reach a maximum total length of 6.2 cm. With a trophic level of 3.2, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List.

🐟 Physical Description

Vertebrae: 35. Rasbora armitagei differs from all congeners from India and Sri Lanka, except R. wilpita by having a prominent symphysial knob on the lower jaw and conspicuous maxillary lateral processes. It can be differentiated from R. wilpita by having the head depth 48-53 (vs. 54-62) % HL and body depth 23.2-24.4 (24.7-29.3) % SL .: fusiform / normal.
