📖 Overview
Inhabits freshwater streams that frequently have moderate to high turbidity levels . Found among vegetation at the margin of creeks and rivers . Not much information on natural history, however, Ref. 7276 reports that it is a carnivore (confirmed by Ref. 6398) and Ref. 2906 reports that it breeds in small ponds or aquaria.
