Psednos Mexicanus (Psednos mexicanus) is a ray-finned fish of the family Liparidae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in deep-water environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 5.9 cm. It occurs at depths between 0 and 1000 metres. With a trophic level of 3.2, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms.

🐟 Physical Description

Dorsal soft rays (total): 37; Anal soft rays: 32; Vertebrae: 44. Coronal pore present. Teeth in both jaws uniserial posteriorly. Gill rakers paired, pyramidal, spinules on margins of triangular spinule plate uniserial. Anus below middle of postorbital space. Body color pale, tongue and palate smoky-black, pyloric caeca pale, intestine brown .
