Pituna Brevirostrata (Pituna brevirostrata) is a ray-finned fish of the family Rivulidae. It inhabits freshwater waters. This species can reach a maximum total length of 2.6 cm. With a trophic level of 3.1, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List.

🐟 Physical Description
Dorsal soft rays (total): 10 - 11; Anal soft rays: 14 - 16; Vertebrae: 25. Differs from all its congeners by the following unique characters: 23-24 scales in longitudinal series; pectoral fin without dark marks; frontal squamation D-patterned; anterior section of supraorbital series of neuromasts interrupted; and 25 vertebrae .
